  James Newton replies: If I remember correctly, most single line 16 character LCDs are actually 2x8 LCDs with the two 8's set end to end.

  it was in an answering machine. I would like to use this with a basic stamp 2sx but I can not find any spec sheets on it. I am VERY new to basic stamps but have a solid background in basic programming as well as many other languages. If you can not give me any help here can you point me to a low cost solution for a lcd, I am not looking to spend a lot on this until I can get a firm handle on the basic stamp. Any help you can give is greatly needed.
