Appendix C. Printer Messages This chapter lists printer messages. Printer status messages are listed
alphabetically in the next section, “Status Messages”. Error messages are
preceded by a number; see “Error Messages” on page 212.
Status Messages CANCEL PRINT JOB? / + YES, - NO Meaning: A job was printing when the printer went offline. This
message allows the operator to cancel or pause the job.
Action: Press the key to cancel the job, press the key to pause the
job and take the printer offline.
CANCELING JOB Meaning: The printer is canceling a PCL or PostScript job. Action: None required. CLEAN DISK? / + YES, - NO Meaning: You selected the CLEAN DISK action on the Reset Menu. Action: Press the key to clean the hard drive. Cleaning the hard
drive removes all files other than those that contain IPDS fonts. Press
the key to continue without formatting.
CLEAN CANCELED Meaning: Cleaning was canceled. Action: None required. COLD RESET / PLEASE WAIT Meaning: The printer is powering up and resetting all menu values to
the factory defaults.
Action: None required; however, you need to restore any unique
settings for the printer (such as default trays or bins).
CX/TX CANCEL SENT Meaning: A coax or twinax cancel request was sent to the host. Action: None required. CX/TX INVALID KEY Meaning: An invalid coax or twinax key was pressed. Action: None required. ©  Copyright  IBM  Corp.  2000 205
