Chapter 4. Paper Handling This chapter describes how to:
v  Select print media
v  Load print media into the following:
    –   550-sheet trays
    –   100-sheet auxiliary tray

–   Envelope Feeder
v  Use the Paper Menu to assign paper sizes and media types to trays, select
the default output bin, and define custom paper sizes. Notes:
1.   The Infoprint 21 uses size and type to select which tray to use to process a
job. If no tray contains the media size and type requested by a job, the
printer posts a message and holds the job until corrective action is taken.
Therefore, it is important to make sure you specify the correct media size
and type for each tray you use. See “Defining the Media Size and Type for
      a Tray” on page 47.
2.   Printer menus refer to trays as follows:
v  Tray 1 is the standard 550-sheet input tray.
v  Tray 2 and Tray 3 are optional input trays; you can install one or two
additional 550-sheet trays. If you install one additional tray, it is Tray 2.
If you install two additional trays, the middle tray is Tray 2 and the
    lower tray is Tray 3.
v  AUX or AUXTRAY is the 100-sheet front paper tray.
v  ENV or ENVTRAY is the Envelope Feeder.
Selecting Paper and Other Printable Material Important Please use print materials that conform to the specifications listed in the
following sections. Using non-conforming print materials can decrease
page yield, cause jams, and damage your printer.
Before you purchase any media or specialized form in large quantities,
make sure your paper supplier obtains and understands the media
selection guidelines for your printer.
