Appletalk Menu   Important!
For information about configuring the Ethernet or token-ring interfaces,
please see Ethernet and Token Ring Configuration Guide, which comes with
the network interface cards.
Use the Appletalk Menu to configure Appletalk communications to your
printer. The following table describes the settings you can change from the
Appletalk Menu. An asterisk (*) next to a value in the table indicates the
factory default. The Appletalk Menu appears only if you have an Ethernet or
token-ring card installed and you set the APPLETALK item ON on the
Network Menu.
Notes:
1.   To select a new value, press the Enter key when the value is displayed in
      the message display area. An asterisk (*) appears next to the value in the
      message display area, indicating that is now active.
2.   If you are unfamiliar with using the operator panel to work with menus,
please read “Using the Operator Panel Keys” on page 22 and “Navigating
Menus” on page 23 before continuing.

Specifies how the printer treats jobs it receives over the
Appletalk interface:
v  PS—the printer treats all data streams as PostScript.
v  AUTO—the printer examines the data stream and
    handles it accordingly.
v  PCL—the printer treats all data streams as PCL.
TIMEOUT nnn
OFF
Specifies the number of seconds the printer waits for data
before it determines there is no more data to receive for the
job. The printer then checks other interfaces for jobs, if other
interfaces are installed. Valid values are 1 to 300. The
default is 15 seconds. OFF dedicates the printer to Appletalk
jobs until the host breaks the connection.
