Building Search Forms

This topic gives you the building blocks you need to write and configure search forms, from the very simple to the most complex.

This section contains:

• Internet Data Query Files: Describes each section in files with an .idq extension and tells their function.
• HTML Extension Files: Explains the syntax in .htx files, which determine how a search-results page will look.
• Active Server Pages: Tells how to put ActiveX scripting technology to work to help build more flexible searches.
• Hit Highlighting: Tells how to activate and configure hit-highlighting so that users can quickly find query results in context.
