Action: Call for service.
851 IPDS OPTION / RESEAT IPDS CF
Meaning: The printer has detected an error with the IBM AFP/IPDS
Module.
Action: Reseat the IBM AFP/IPDS Module. If the problem recurs,
replace the IBM AFP/IPDS Module.
852 IPDS ADD MEMORY / POWER OFF/ON
Meaning: The printer requires more memory before it can process
IPDS jobs.
Action: Install more memory. See Memory Requirements on page 6
for information about IPDS memory requirements. See Installing a
DIMM on page 146 for information about installing memory SIMMs.
853 IPDS LOW MEM / POWER OFF/ON
Meaning: The printer is low on memory.
Action: Switch the printer off, wait 20 seconds and then switch on the
printer power to clear the memory. If the error happens again, you
may need to install more memory. See Memory Requirements on
page 6 for information about IPDS memory requirements. See
Installing a DIMM on page 146 for information about installing
memory SIMMs.
854 IPDS ERROR / RESET IPDS FONTS
Meaning: The printer cannot open the IPDS font data base, which is
stored in RAM, flash memory, or on the printer hard drive.
Action:
1. Power off the printer, wait 20 seconds, and then power on the
printer.
2. Select RESET IPDS FONTS from the Reset Menu (see Test Menu
on page 71).
3. Power off the printer again, wait 20 seconds, and then power on
the printer.
If the error recurs, call for service.
860 NO HOST SYNC / PRESS ENTER
Meaning: The printer cannot detect a signal from the host over the
coax port.
Action: Press Enter to continue.
