Installing a Hard Drive
Important!
Follow the instructions for handling static-sensitive devices described on
page 145.
Installing a hard drive in your printer allows you to print jobs that have
multiple collated copies. Use the following procedure to install a hard drive:
Attention: To avoid paper jams, make sure no jobs are printing when you
start this procedure. If necessary, press the Online key to take the printer
offline.
1. Power off and unplug the printer.
2. Remove the side cover.
a. Loosen the screws at the top and bottom of the side cover and slide
the cover to the left.
b. Pull the cover down and towards you to remove it.
