I have a PIC16F84A and want to build a 12 V 200 mA brushless DC fan speed controller. I think I should write a PWM routine to drive the fan. But, a PWM signal is just a square wave? If so, which frequencies I should apply to circuit to run fan between 6V and 12 V. The circuit has a 741 opamp working as voltage controlled voltage source (dc-dc, input max 5 V-output max 11.5 V). Output of the opamp is connected to a BC337 which is driving fan. Any suggestion? Thank you, in advance...
