Preparation of Davidson Solution

To make 1 liter of Davidson Solution combine:

• 330 ml of 95% ethyl alcohol
• 220 ml of 37% tech. grade Formalin. Since Formalin is a solution of 37% formaldehyde in water, 82 ml of formaldehyde and 128 ml of water could also be used.
• 115 ml of glacial acetic acid
• 335 ml of tap water.
