When providing a field to input numbers, SmartPhones can be told to automatically display a number key pad when the field is selected, but specifying <input type="number">. iOS devices may add commas and remove leading zeros. To further specify the precision of the input, add e.g. step="0.01". To future proof, also add pattern="[0-9\.]*". type="tel" will trigger help with entering a phone number.

http://motyar.blogspot.com/2011/09/handling-html5-application-cache-with.html
One unexpected problem with appcache is that if the web page changes on the server, that change will not be seen on the remote device unless the appcache itself is refreshed. On Chrome, you can manage the appcache at chrome://appcache-internals/. Web apps can offer updates when the appcache changes on the server by inserting the following Javascript on the main page:
// on page load.
window.addEventListener('load', function(e) {
//Check if a new cache is available
window.applicationCache.addEventListener('updateready', function(e) {
if (window.applicationCache.status == window.applicationCache.UPDATEREADY) {
// Browser downloaded a new app cache.
// Swap it in and reload the page to get the new version.
window.applicationCache.swapCache();
if (confirm('A new version of this site is available. Load it?')) {
window.location.reload();
}
} else {
// Manifest didn't changed. Nothing new yet.
}
}, false);
}, false);
Note: To trigger the update, the .appcache file, not the .html page, must change. After changing the page, just edit a comment (perhaps include a datecode or version number?) in the .appcache file.

Timothy Henry[TH-yahoo-] Questions:
Hi, i'm really new to stepper motor and it's drivers, so i hope you could help me with choosing a PSU. My stepper motor is 12V 2A/phase. In this site, it is said that i need to use PSU that supply 4-10 volts more than the motor voltage, but since i can't find a PSU in that range, could i just use a 12V PSU, or if properly cooled, could i use a 24V PSU for the linistepper?
Thanks for your help!

Hi. I don't really understand much about drivers and motors. I'm going to be making a barndoor mount for astrophotography. the load will be about 2.5-3.5 kg.
currently i have no stepper motor, no driver, no gears. i think the r
threaded rod i'm going to use is for 1 rpm.
i found some motors online:
unipolar 4V 1200mA, 200 steps, 3.17kg/cm, nema 17
unipolar 3V 2A 5 wire, nema 23, 200 step
3V 1.7A 400 step 4.5kg/cm
4.7V 1500mA 200 step, nema 23, 5kg/cm
will these work? what are the ideal specs for my usage?
as for your driver, on your site somewhere you mention a version of your driver or chip suited for astro tracking, but i that i need to provide you with the gearing so you can program it? what gearing will i have? don't know this now! i just can't get started with my project because of these unknowns! please guide me! thanks you for your help.
