When used for division, except in cases where the sum of the terms exactly equals the divisor (e.g. divisor is 8/3 = 2.6666667), the computed quotient will always be slightly smaller than the actual quotient. Rounding can be helpful, particularly with small quotients. Before the final shift, simply examine the highest-order bit that would be shifted out and add it after the final shift.ON 20130502@2:39:02 PM at page: On a web page you were interested in at: http://www.massmind.org/member/XUUJ46YMBCWWQ/index.htm#41381.4767013889 James Newton[JMN-EFP-786] Published and replied to post 41381.4767013889 by pmwcc |Insert 'Sorry to take so long to answer, I don't normally monitor questions members post to their own walls. e.g. if the last shifting is 4 places and the bits that would be shifted out are 1xxx, add 1 after the last shift.
Try this for 9 divided by 3, using 7 terms. Without rounding, the quotient will be 2. Rounding "fixes" that.
I wish to connect a THB6064AH to a ramps 1.4 breakout board. Is all that's required; step, dir, and enable? Thank you.Excluding power and steppers of course.|Delete 'P-' before: '' but after: 'kolmyk@gmail.com asks:
