  im using PIC16F877 as microcontroller to interface with the pc side via VB program, nevertheless the BasicComm i found it here is quite useful. I would like to know the way on how to send and receive frm the PIC16F877 so that it'll be a close loop control within the hardware and the pc. thank you

  I have an application that calls for a 19bit synchronous serial interface: clock supplied externally @ 1.2MHz. I am trying to use the Advanced USART in the 18F1320. I am trying to write out three consecutive 8 bit words, I use a timer to timeout during the middle of the third word to exit (since I only have 19 clocks not 24). The interface works for a short while but then gets stuck waiting to transmit the second byte. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
