Make use of a PIC to develop a square wave signal generator. You must have two
binary inputs on port B. The output frequency must change according to the binary input (See
table). Make your own assumptions, draw the flowchart, write the program and draw the
hardware circuit that you will use FOR PIC16F84A. Make use of a crystal oscillator.
B2 B1 Frequency
0 0 1.0kHz
0 1 2.0kHz
1 0 3.0kHz
1 1 4.0kHz

Dont waste your time with the elcheapo PIC programmer on page 601, the gate of an n ch mosfet used to bring MCLR pin to ground does not have a pull down resistor, so it is always ON. The rest of the circuit is dodgy around this area so the chip will never be able to be programmed. PS dont try to conact Predko about this as the email address is not valid. This book sucks quite a bit and is all over the place with ASM code on one page and C code on the next please get it straight and stick to one type of programming method and have some consistency between pages.
