    Hi,

I am working on a PIC16F877, using its 8-channel ADC features, anlongwith stepper motor control and some other services. I eam encountering the following problem:

1 - The intended prog. compiles and simulates properly on simulators. Morover, the ouput is logically correct.

2 - In hardware, the PIC gives the right output when there is nothing placed physically around it. It seems to be affected mysteriously, without even being touched. I though it was only a problem with the given PIC, but I changed the sample without any improvement. So, as soon as I bring something around the PIC, a power supply, or a hand,it does not give the right output, though it switches(ON and OFF). Also, bringing something close to the PIc does not change the output on one of the pins, but changes every pin completely.

3 - If I earth any pin of the PIC, it seems to work again.

If you need to investigate anything else, please ask, and help me out!
