Name: | Steve Faulkner |
I'm 30, and have been programming for 20 years.
(yes, I started when I was 10 - writting character-graphics based games for a Timex Sinclair.. then a Commodore VIC 20.. Commodore 64.. I have programmed in Fortran, Pascal, C, various CPU assembler languages, a little C++ and Java - but mostly C and assembler the last few years...)
I have a degree in Computer Engineering (combination of Computer Science and EE, with a focus on digit logic), from California State University, Chico.
I'm currently working for Cisco Systems, writing assembly language for packet routing - on a really cool Multi-threaded Network Processor! The coolest job in the world! :-)
But being one to never have too much fun - I'm taking up a hobby project of using the PIC (have selected 16F877) to control a walking robot that I will be building. Will be a challenging project - the only kind I like :-) - and will take some time because of limited time to work on it. I'll update this page with updates as it progresses...
