I am using the software and hardware designs from http://www.ucapps.de/
to build an electronic organ. The stops are push buttons connected to 74HC165'connected in groups of 4 making a 32 pin group. A total of 128 pins are therefore connected to the PIC 18F452. This in turn uses a bank of 256k Serial WEproms to store the sysex messages to control a Roland Sound Module. I looks as if the processor is being reset. In most cases I repeat the leading byte. eg F0 F0 XX etc. In one case I repeat the first 5 bytes. I am using ribbon cable to interconnect. Any advice on reducing the cause of problem. crosstalk? ringing?
