|Insert 'Not sure if you will see this since you didn't leave an email address, but as long as the motor is unipolar (5 or more wires) and the load isn't more than about 75 watts then the Linistepper, and 4axis board with pulse option should do what you need. Hello, I currently use a K179 circuit from Ozitronics to drive a widefield star tracking device I made out of an old automatic gate opener. The reduction from the motor through to the main shaft which has a camera attached to it, is enough to follow the stars at Sidereal rate. The current stepper motor currently turns at approx 3 revs per minute to do this, but in fullstep mode. I was wanting to switch to a microstepping circuit to do this. For a smoother operation. Will the Linistepper be able to be used stand alone (without PC and run off 12V Battery) and at an adjustable slow speed and high speed just by using a potentiometer and or switch arrangement? Also can the direction be reversed using a simple switch? If this can be done what would I need to purchase to do this?
