EEPROM Emulator Mk2 by Philip Pemberton (PIC 16F877 based)
Can be erased in sunlight or by a germicidal bulb
Russell McMahon says:
INSERT CHIPS IN CONDUCTING FOAM !!!IC's in nice warm dry location like this will be extra ESD sensitive. We at one time long ago often erased ICs on a window ledge in sunlight. Many died until we placed an earthed metal plate under them. After that none died ! :-)
Which you may find at a contact lens shop. They use the bulbs in their client 'lenses sterilizers'. Just be careful not to look at it or you will get the worst case of "welders flash" or worse. You should build a box to enclose it which prevents the power being connected till the lid is completely closed. Remember, these things are DANGEROUS.
