What's new in the AOLpress tutorial?

We plan to add more topics to this tutorial on an ongoing basis. Look at the "Tutorial version" number on the bottom of the index.htm tutorial page stored on your computer. Compare it with this list to find out what new lessons have been added.
  • Version 2.0: This version includes a new lesson on creating frames. It has also been updated to reflect other changes made for AOLpress v2.0. If you haven't upgraded to AOLpress v2.0, you can download the new version.
  • Version 1.0: This is currently the first and latest version of the tutorial. It contains some basic lessons on using files, lessons on creating text, lists, tables, images, links, and forms, a lesson on using MiniWebs, and some tips and tricks.

We'll be adding more topics soon. Send your comments on the tutorial and requests for additional topics to feedback@aolpress.com.

If a later version than the one on your computer is listed above, you can download the latest version by following these steps:
  1. Delete the files on your computer in the "tutorial" directory or folder below AOLpress's "help" directory. (You can rename the directory or folder if you want to save changes you have made to your current copy of the tutorial.)
  2. Click the MiniWeb icon next to the title field above. You'll see a list of all the pages in this tutorial. Don't worry about how MiniWebs work right now. That's later in the tutorial.
  3. From the MiniWeb window, choose FileSave As and select AOLpress's "help" directory on your computer's disk.
  4. Click OK. AOLpress will begin saving all the tutorial files to your computer. (This may take a few minutes.)
  5. You can start the tutorial again by choosing HelpTutorial. (You may need to click the reload icon to see the new version of pages you have already visited.)
