Network Connections and Stand Alone Installation

AOLpress works as a Web page authoring tool with or without a network connection. On Windows 3.1, if you installed AOLpress without a network connection and now want to use it over the Internet, you must change your installation.

Network Connections Known to Work with AOLpress

• Direct Internet connections, including SLIP and PPP connections through Internet Service Providers
• AOL 3.0 for Windows (3.1)
• AOL 3.0 for Windows '95
• AOL 3.0 for Macintosh
• Microsoft Network
• Compuserve's PPP Internet access

Networks That Do Not Currently Work with AOLpress

• Prodigy
• Genie
