Hi from a retiree who used to tune by watching anodes glow.
I bought three kits instead of four by mistake, so placed an order for the fourth along with a timer module to check out the units with. The boards seem very well made and organized. The first went together quite nicely! I'm looking forward to firing them up!
In trying to understand how to set up for "high power half step" mode, I see the word MODE used I think to refer to logic 0 and 1. Is that correct? Do I understand correctly, that ctrl pin 6 is wired to 5v supply gnd (-), and 7 to +5? That there are no current limit resistors other than the 390 ohm ones needed in series on these pins?
I look forward to your reply!
    Have a good evening,
    Al

    Hi,
I really like the kit and concidering buying one to try and then maybe 2 more.I have a question. When using the axis kit what software is suggested to use for communication? Also I have downloaded the hex for the 16F84 and loaded it into the pic.How are the inputs supposed to work? I can toggle RA0 and make PORTB change. What about the other inputs(RA1-4)? Thanks Charlie
