I want to connect a Evolis make plastic card printer with IBM Desktop PC Model 8708 D43 (BIOS ver 42KT44AUS). . Printer requires bidirectional communication. It is perfect when I install driver and work with printer but problem starts when i restart the PC . I don't get response (answer) from printer. Although it accepts command but Communication is not bi directional. I need a solution for this . With all other PC makes like Compaq HCL HP etc I never faced thsi problem. I fact with IBm Desktop 8291 D4Q ( BIOS ver Phoenix Award BIOS v6.00PG)I have not faced this problem. It works nice.Printer workd fine with this PC. I need to reinstall driver everytime i boot PC. Evolis printer supports nibble protocol for bidirectional communication.</BLOCKQUOTE>
