I have been trying to get my bi-directional parallel port to read input at the status port. Since, it is bidirectional I had written 32(decimal) to the control port and tried reading the status port. Nothing happen. Then I wrote 255(decimal) at the control port and read the status port sucessfully. <BR>
1) When I used 4.7K resistances, the port did not read it. But when I used 220ohms, the port read the data.<BR>
2) Problem is, the port doesnot read data corresponding to S7, it always remains zero.<BR>
3) After reading five six times, the port reads randomly and then after a few more attempts latches to data.<BR>
