"Electric Brain" the Chinese symbol for computer
Inspired by this interesting breakdown, I have asked a good friend (Spehro
Pefhany) to find a translation of "MassMind." The result is most pleasing
to me:
My take on it:
-
The upper left character is
basically "plant"
-
Two of them indicates lots of plants, or plenty;
abundance
-
The middle one is another plant so we have three all together. This indicates
continued abundance and is related to gathering or a hand holding an abundance
of good things. Harvest.
-
The lower left character
is the heart. It is related to feelings or emotions and to the mind.
-
Together the left side is called "hui" and symbolizes
well-kept heart/mind. This
could have been the symbol of the movie
"A
beautiful Mind"
-
The upper left character of
the right side is an ear.
-
Next to that, in the upper
right, is a hand so we have "grab ear with hand" which relates to
choose, select, obtain, or
take.
-
The lower right one is a bit
of a problem. It appears to be a symbol of a group of people, but the two
strokes on the left and the single stroke coming from the right "leg" are
not exactly matched. Any suggestions appreciated.
-
So the right side probably means
calling a gathering of people
or perhaps parts of people?
-
And over all it is lots of people who have been grabbed by the ear for their
good minds and are held together like a harvest of crops.
