I'm doing some runs of approximately 50 boards and tried JLCPCB. By the time I finished matching the parts to their stock, one of the atmega644p that the design uses switched to "inventory low" and I couldn't complete the order. The staff told me I had to pre-order the part, but when I checked it only comes in a reel of 2000 MOQ. Kinda feeling a bit stuck. They have non-reel ICs in stock but they are about $2 more per chip. With 50 boards that's an increase of $100! And the microprocessors are already costing an arm and a leg. The rest of the components are mostly passive or fairly trivial semiconductors, but we do have some through-hole connectors, headers, and a buzzer.
