I started having a look at solar micro inverters and although I can understand the principle of them and why you would use them, I'm failing to find more detailed info.. Do you guys have any links for detailed descriptions for them that you would like to share? My immediate questions are: - On the grid tied systems, are they all in effect connected in parallel and with the grid directly or is there some sort of "aggregator" in place? - do they have a short term storage device like a battery/capacitor internally for the intermediate DC/DC converter or does it have some sort of direct DC/DC/AC converter? - how does the sync circuit work? it probably needs to be faster than a normal inverter circuit or the wasted energy while trying to lock would be too high. Any diagrams and algorithms would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced Best Regards Luis --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
