There is a brand of air filter carried at Home Depot, that on the top of th=
e
line filters, they have a Bluetooth pressure sensor that measures the
differential pressure across the filter. They actually measure the pressure
on one side and note the jump when the AC turns on. They use the before and
after values to estimate differential pressure across the filter.

You can do a very unsophisticated but useful visual test by using a partial=
y
water filled flexible tube and placing the ends before and after the filter=
..
Even if you "jammed one end around the edge of the filter" it should suffic=
e
as long as there was some flow possible. A single exterior hole would
suffice - possibly from temporarily removing a screw.

You now have a U tube manometer with difference in fluid levels showing you
the pressure.
