My buddy is rebuilding a pair of elderly BMW motorcycles dating from=20 the early 70's. He is looking for a contact cleaner that he can use=20 to clean / enhance the various wiring harness connectors. That is:=20 pull the connector from whatever device the harness is connected to,=20 spray both the plug and receptacle, re-assemble. Possibly spray in a=20 dielectric grease before re-assembling. I'm not sure what to suggest for him to use. In days long gone, I'd=20 be thinking of the Tuner Wash that one used on old television=20 channel-change turret tuners. I don't know what to suggest in these=20 modern times. These connectors are NOT corroded or damaged. Rather, this is an=20 attempt to ward off future problems. Suggestions gratefully accepted.
