Yes, I've been bitten by that before, so I am a stickler for always using t=
he same port for anything except memory sticks.

I'll dig around with regedit for anything with Microchip in it and see if I=
 can make it work again. Thanks for the clue!

I've seen where something was recognized on a certain USB port, then you
have to use that one forever. Is it still plugged into the same port?
