A couple days ago I came across this post on Hack-a-day https://hackaday.com/2020/04/13/yeast-is-a-hot-commodity-brewing-and-breadm= aking-during-lockdown/ and it connected to a complaint a coworker of mine had recently made about not being able to find bread yeast - so I likely read more and deeper than some. Relevant part for your situation is that many beers have enough live yeast left in the bottle to start another culture. There was also some discussion of other yeast starter sources, though I don't recall any discussion about which ones produce the most alcohol. Good luck. -Denny --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
