I've purchased MANY USB power banks over the past few years. Most=20 recent batch is from Adata, purchased from Memory Express in=20 Canada. They had a rocking deal of Can $7.99 for 10.05AHr. These=20 contain 3 cells (3P) - these cells are physically larger than=20 18650. I don't have the disassembled unit handy right now. I'll=20 grab it later today and let you know the actual cell dimensions if=20 you are interested. I haven't run a full capacity test yet - I will do that this=20 weekend. But any of the previous Adata units that I have purchased=20 previously have contained cells that match the advertised capacity. I had wanted to purchase 30 of these power banks - I was going to=20 pull the cells from them and build a decent battery box for my=20 electric scooter. Basically, 14 sets of two in series-parallel (14S=20 6P). Unfortunately, was not able to get that many. Another unit that is decent is from Limefuel - it says 20,000 mAHr=20 but I haven't actually measured it. But it has been reliable for=20 several years. dwayne At 09:56 AM 2/14/2020, David Van Horn wrote: >I'm looking for a couple of large USB power banks, and hoping to get=20 >some recommendations. >I see mAh ratings that are starting to sound like stun gun voltages,=20 >which is why I'm not just grabbing the biggest number on Amazon > >The application is astrophotography, running a bunch of peripherals=20 >including a lens heater. > >-- >David VanHorn >Lead Hardware Engineer > >Backcountry Access, Inc. >2820 Wilderness Pl, Unit H >Boulder, CO 80301 USA >phone: 303-417-1345 x110 >email:=20 >david.vanhorn@backcountryaccess.com --=20 Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA 780-489-3199 voice 780-487-6397 fax 888-489-3199 Toll Free www.trinity-electronics.com Custom Electronics Design and Manufacturing --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
