It provides (optional) syncing between multiple computers (almost) anywhere on earth - if I store a file here to a selected folder it will be available, usually withing minutes, to synced computers worldwide. A friend of mine uses it as a "pipeline" - adds changes files from his workplace at days end - these are removed and used to update a remote computer. When he gets home the remote PC matches the work PC. When he leaves home he repeats the process. Files reside in Dropbox only during the few minutes taken to upload, download and extract. Others use it for mobile access and backup and file sharing. You can dun fully free websites using Dropbox as the initial store - uses 3rd party sites - eg Dropsite.com If you want to join the fabulous free world of Dropbox users, AND give me 500 MB extra storage as a bonus, please use this link https://db.tt/e8VtvrkM regards & thanks Russell McMahon --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
