I just bought a trailer light kit and the wire it came with isn't really co= pper. Is there any benefit to copper-clad aluminum (CCA) wire over straight alumi= num? Because from what I've experienced, it's just a way of tricking people= into buying something they wouldn't have bought if they knew what they wer= e really getting. The copper layer is so thin, I can't imagine it being OK to use in connecto= rs made for copper wire, and it doesn't solder unless it's really fresh wir= e and you don't heat it for longer than a second. And I wouldn't trust it. Bob --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
