I bought a really cheap audio DAC with S/PDIF input for my television:

Inside it has a 28 pin chip and a 4558 dual opamp plus passives and a SOT23=
 regulator. No crystal. I'm curious what the 28 pin chip is. The only marki=
ngs on it are:
1618
A9A3D
No logo or anything else.
Any idea what they are using?

You can probably guess how bad it sounds. How well does a 4558 operate with=
 5 volts single supply? Pretty poorly!
