I'm working on an update for some old code for a PIC16F506. I have an AC162070 header connected to a PIC Kit 3 through a Microchip SIP to RJ connector board and an RJ cable. To ensure my target is not messing it up, I've told the PIC Kit 3 to supply power to the host and do not have the header board plugged into the header. I can see 5V on pin 18 of the ICD device. It SEEMS like I should be able to just program the device like this. But, I'm getting the following error when I try to program it: Programming... The following memory regions failed to program correctly: Program Memory Address: 00000000 Expected Value: 000004a3 Received Value: 00000000 Programming failed At debugger start, I also get this: PICkit 3 Connected. The target has invalid calibration data (0). Ideas? THANKS!
