I was focused on '2019 OK'. Maybe the *Washington Post link *they posted would have been a better choice. I really don't know. I had to go and look up who Greta Thunberg was. I see that I've heard of her "at a distance" but could not give more than a headline level summary (if that) even to save my life. I find your response interesting. I'm not sure how it relates to the flyby. FWIW: I say with a degree of jest that "Information is my hobby". But, it's not too too far from wrong. It did not occur to me (perhaps stupidly) that the website the asteroid article was on was in any way relevant. I receive email "information feeds from literally (in the old sense) hundreds of sites, I belong to over 1000 facebook groups (!!!) I read approximately none of the emails, I seldom look at posts in more than a few handfuls of the FB groups. I skim through the information headings as serendipity, time and occasion allow and sometimes pick out some that catch the eye. I occasionally look through sites. I belong to over 60 Stack Exchange groups (!!!) [Over 1000 'rep' in only 9, answers in 35, 2600+ EE answers, ...] People frequently see me as holding a world view which is the antithesis of their own - regardless of what that may be. Not a position I aim at. May come from attempting to assimilate too much information? :-) Russell > Bob > > ________________________________________ > > Sent: Monday, July 29, 2019 11:02 PM > To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. > Cc: ApptechNZ > Subject: [OT]:: Asteroid 0.2 lunar distance 'flyby' > > July 26th 2019 - Undetected until 'the last moment' a ~=3D90m dia asteroi= d > passed about 1/5th of Earth-Moon distance from Earth. > > > https://wattsupwiththat.com/2019/07/29/nasa-surprised-undetected-city-kil= ler-asteroid-just-whizzed-by-earth/ > > > -- > http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive > View/change your membership options at > http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist > --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
