Especially white LEDs. I had occasion recently to fit a variety of coloured= and white LEDs to a device. With the red and green ones running at 20mA th= e white ones were requiring very little current to be visually similar brig= htness, something around 1mA seemed to be sufficient. With the white ones r= unning at 20mA they were blinding. -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu On Behalf Of James = Cameron Sent: 05 March 2019 00:12 To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. Subject: Re: [OT] 2.5 Volt "Filament" LED? Isn't Forward Voltage normally specified at nominal current? If you're using a much lower current, the voltage won't be anywhere near Forward Voltage. They are usually blue LEDs. I've certainly seen modern LEDs willing to emit light at very low currents like that. --=20 James Cameron http://quozl.netrek.org/ --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
