Hi, I'm having issues finding a small 1-position board-to-wire connector for=20 use as a test lead on a custom product. It needs to be small, and=20 accept 20-gauge wire (or 18 gauge). And I will use 3 side-by-side, and=20 have about 20-21 mm width for it. My first thought was to use a 2mm banana jack, but for whatever reason,=20 the 2mm jacks and plugs I'm finding don't fit each other, other than say=20 matched sets from companies like Pomona, which gets quite pricey. And=20 they're still wide anyway. Common 0.1"-spacing headers with wires on dupont connectors would've=20 been great if only they could've accepted 20-gauge wire. If someone=20 makes something similar with say 0.15" spacing, I think it would be ideal. I'm currently investigating this, but I'd have to cut off the side=20 locking tabs... *cringe*. And not sure how secure the connectors will=20 be without them. Perhaps the 3-position header can accept 3 separate=20 1-position plugs? Will have to experiment. https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/te-connectivity-amp-connectors/1-= 794374-1/A130985-ND/1860852 I'm also looking at using test points like this, but the solder tab at=20 the end may make mounting in an enclosure with the jack easily=20 accessible challenging... https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/keystone-electronics/6050/36-6050= -ND/316474 Surely someone makes a workable option? Any thoughts? Thanks, -Neil. --=20 http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist .
