Butane firelighter flame makes the material glow orange, but no
obvious structural change occurs.

Fluke 177 shows resistance of about 25 to 50 ohms over 25mm
lengthwise, and about 50 to 100 ohms over 1mm across the width.

Depending on angle of light, material is shiny.

It does seem to be Carbon Fibre Tow.
