Experience suggests that any wooden ship that's actually in the water is a "ship of Theseus". OTOH, was just watching one of Ballard's adventures, diving on "Sinop D", a ~500 A.D. wreck in the Black Sea. Presumably due to the anoxic environment the vessel is in remark- able condition - You can see adze marks on the timbers... ...
