Long gone.  I=92m a bit disappointed that another $0.25 micro hasn=92t come=
 along to replace it :-(
And it only had 8 pins=85

Newark regularly has some cheap microcontrollers in their =93overstock ware=
house=94, but it=92s tough to be the normal price of the PIC16F54.  One pos=
sibility, at the moment ($0.445), is a relatively beefy MC90S08 chip:
