On the other hand, there's nothing like replacing a lot of capacitors
and having no result.

In any aging component network there are many simultaneous faults,
some growing slowly, some growing step-wise, and only a comprehensive
analysis will fix it properly.

This belief gives me the excuse to not fix it or fix it as module
replacement or system replacement level.  ;-)
