Under the Programmer tab (at least in MPLAB 8.85), there there is an=20
Erase Flash Device option.

Since the PIC16F7X datasheet shows the primary difference between the=20
16F73 and 16LF73 to be the range of the operating voltage, can't you use=20
the PIC16F73 choice for your project?
