Hi, I built this power supply for my Ham Radio HF station. The radio is=20 an Icom IC-7200, usually running 20-30W output on JT65. After a couple months the bridge rectifier failed. Two diodes=20 shorted. It is a common KBPC3510. Changed the bridge. Three month later, bridge failed. This time I=20 replaced it with a KBPC5010. That one lasted only two weeks! It seems heat is not the problem, the bridge goes to 60C max when=20 transmitting. On every failure the power supply was in light use and the bridge=20 was just warm. I'm thinking of building a soft-start circuit just to see if it helps. Any ideas? Thanks.
