For your "hard" ~=3D 50V/8A charger there are a range of [possible ICs whic=
h
are supported or "liable to be supported" with design software for many
aspects including rthe magnetics.

LT is better than many at this.

Starters

The 'famed' TOPSwitch fdamily with integrated switch do not reach your
power level in the family shown here (about 250 W) but demonstrate the
deceptive simplicit of the basic circuit - ruined somewhat by an example of
"the real thing " in fig 44 on page 24.
I assume (possibly wrongly) that the manufactuer provides magnetics design
software.

NXP. They say power to 250W with external switch but it's not obvious why
that limit is set.
