Has anyone on the list ever implemented Ethernet/IP on a microcontroller?
How hard was it?  How much code?  How long did it take?  Are there any
public examples that I could use as a reference?

We're using Atmel Mega/XMega chips, but info from any processor family
(for example, PICs!) would be helpful.
