It would be fiddly and need a steady hand but there is a little of the
pin exposed on the side. More QFN than SOIC though

If you want low Ron then it's likely to be a power FET. Ron is often
more of a selling point in the data than V or A

For example -

I stripped the FETs off a pile of old motherboards last week. Got a
bagfull. They're arranged in a paralleled bunch as a local step-down
SMPS. Mostly D2PAK with Ron <10mR (eg 85L02, 25V, 85A,
6mR) for driving low-value power inductors
