Yes, problems; the user manual has a troubleshooting section which
suggests that it won't turn on unless it has external AC power input.
"The unit must be connected to a 110/120V 60Hz outlet."

Operating temperature range is quite restricted given your intended
field use; 0=B0C to 40=B0C, with RH 0 to 90%.

Run time is very short; efficiency isn't specified, so if it can be
convinced to power on without external AC, I'd expect it to run your
rig once or twice before you'd need new batteries.

Sounds like fun!
