I have several of these ( Pickit 2's and clones, and Pickit 3's). The=20 Pickit 3's are finnicky to deal though I understand that's because they=20 are more protective/forgiving. But I avoid them because the MPIDE=20 software has been buggy, and still not ready for prime-time as with my=20 HD screen, the window won't open to where I can access the button to=20 power the chip from the Pickit 3. I currently only use the Pickit 3 for=20 PIC32 stuff and then too with external power.
