Sorry, I intially read 475kHz as 475MHz ! I also remember that in an Elecronics Australia ? project they used a number of low noise transistors in parallel (I think) to get even lower noise. I can't quite remember the reasoning but they claimed it worked out OK. May just have assisted the matching though.
